2 instances of "Start Menu".
A) Can someone give your thoughts regarding the fact that win7 has 2 folders called "Start Menu"? 1) C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu 2) C:\Users\user01\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\ B) Can some try to explain why "Start Menu" is placed in "C:\Users\user01\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\" but not in "C:\Users\user01\Start Menu\". C) Can some one explain why "Start Menu" has a space, but "ProgramData" and "AppData" do not have. Best wishes, vo.

there are 2 Start menu fodler, the folder under C:\ProgramData contains the shortcuts for all users, the folder under AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start menu for your current user. It is stored under Roaming to support server based profiles. André"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/
